Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on the 22nd of November 1985 in New York City New York) is well-known for her abilities to perform across various genres from historical dramas, thrillers and action-packed films. Johansson was born in New York City, and lived there with her father, an architect, and mother who produced. Her twin brother Hunter as well as her mother were her youngest siblings. When she was a child she began to develop a passion for acting and began making commercial auditions around the age of seven. Then she began her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and afterwards went to the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further refine her skills. When she was a kid she appeared in Sophistry alongside Ethan Hawke and made her movie debut at Rob Reiner's North at the time of 1994. Johansson then appeared on screen in Just Cause, but she was first seen in Manny & Lo, a film that follows orphaned siblings as they run away. For The Horse Whisperer, Johansson played a teenage victim of an horrific crash. In Ghost World, her role Ghost World brought her more notoriety as the infamous teenager Rebecca. Smith got her first job as an actor at age six through the support of her parents. Smith was in a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. As with the majority of actresses just getting started, to improve her acting skills. While she made her on-stage debut in Wildflower she was also working with various theatre projects in the USA. She studied at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
