Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as 14 years old. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd had an amazing 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent right in the first round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. It left a blemish on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent bout in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however, Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. Her final fight with this promotion, Ladd fought Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound in the second round to secure a TKO victory. When she next faced Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the opening round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first big fight. The two fighters had a close fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was unanimously decided against her.
