
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. She began her career in Mexico by playing a lead role in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were only among her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) that she also co-produced she became the first Mexican actress to be recognized for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6Additionally, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations.
